Jumby Bay Island

Company Culture
Employer type
Antigua and Barbuda
The island lifestyle is unhurried and undisturbed; one of space and freedom. An island of simple pleasures. The pleasure of waking when the sun wakes. Of walking barefoot across soft white sands. Of freedom and tranquillity. Of not having anything, in particular, to do. The pleasure of seeing friends. Of supper under the stars. Of laughter. Of midnight swims. And of falling asleep to the sound of the sea breeze in the trees.
Main activities
Jumby Bay, features 40 tastefully decorated rooms and luxury vacation villas spread across a beautiful private island, two miles off the coast of Antigua. Just steps away from pristine white beaches, each suite is a tranquil oasis offering spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea.
Situated a few miles off the north-east coast of Antigua, the island became part of Christopher Columbus’ discovery of the Americas in 1493.

It was Columbus who named Antigua, from an icon, `Santa Maria de la Antigua’, found in the Cathedral in Seville where he was laid to rest. Long before Columbus, a people called Amerindians, or ‘Arawaks’ inhabited Antigua around 3000BC.
