Reception / Front Desk Internship - Portugal
- Collaborates in check-in of the guests that arrives to the hotel and escorts them to the room, following the internal procedures and standards.
- Collaborates in check-out of the guests, providing the correct bill following the internal procedures and standards,
- Takes care of the guests complaints and make sure that all complaints are resolved according to guests’ satisfaction. Reports the situations to the HOD and to the Glitch Report.
- Should have an efficient contact and assists the guests according to their individual needs and expectations.
- Make sure that there is an effective communication with reservations, concierge, housekeeping and other departments, in order to organize the guest stay according to their needs and requests.
- Daily communication with Housekeeping department concerning the room’s situation, arrivals, special request, etc.
- Make sure that the credit policy is strictly followed.
- Operates with the OPERA PMS Computer System.
- Collaborates with all administrative tasks of the department
- Answers phone calls and make reservations for rooms, restaurants, excursions, etc.
- Collaborates with the Concierge tasks
This role will work alongside the Front Desk Manager and help assist with the organisation of their division.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Outstanding communication and inter-personnel skills
- Good presentational skills
- Well groomed and presented
- A positive and 'can-do' attitude
- Good computer skills
- Reception and Opera computer system knowledge (preferable)
- Good inter-personnel relations
